• Over 40 years experience in regional, community and economic development

  • Created four successful economic development organizations in two states – MN and TX

  • Served as Chair of the MN Industrial Development Council in 1989 and Chair of the TX Economic Development Council in 2005

  • In 2002, appointed by Governor Rick Perry to the TX Council on Science and Bio-Technology

  • Established the first Accredited Economic Development Organization in TX in 1999 and is currently the second longest-running certified AEDO in North America

  • Tyler has received the Outstanding Community Economic Development Organization award from the TX Economic Development Council three times

o 2002 – Eight local primary employer expansions, 770 jobs

o 2018 – Sanderson Farms Project, 1,700 jobs

  • Received the TX Economic Development Council Excellence award ten-times between 2007-2019

  • Awarded the International Economic Development Excellence Award in 2018

  • Given the Community Economic Development from the Southern Economic Development Council in 2019
